Above and below the line – most of us have herd this before and most of us have tools to manage below the line team members but what would getting to the cause of this be worth to you and your team?
Ever noticed how in the lead up to this behavior there is wavering commitment, some things are completed on time and others aren’t. Especially those who never miss a deadline! Are you having the conversations with them about what you have noticed or what’s really going on OR giving them space to work it out?
You may have noticed that before this sliding of commitment there was a conditional connection to the team, their work, the company? Connecting with others was given when “conditions” were met OR maybe you noticed and earlier indicator…
Where communication stopped flowing, emails get “missed”, phone calls don’t get returned, everything is “fine” or “good” they are just “focused”…
Remember I’m not talking about those genuine circumstances I’m referring to situations where you dealing with below the line behavior.
What if this all stemmed from ONE simple avoidable thing? UNMET EXPECTATIONS
